According to TED Founder, Richard Saul Wurman, we get rewarded for our answers, not our questions. Can you imagine being in grade school and getting a test in how good your questions are? Unheard of! In fact, it is just the opposite.
When we are young "why" is our go-to. We want to know everything. As young as three years old, we hear, "Stop asking why all of the time!" Yet, take the time to ponder the ultimate oxymoron ~ how do you become WISE if you don't know WHY?
The definition of Wise is: having the ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting; a wise leader. I think we should bring WHY back. Why? Because it is the seed of creativity. Without curiosity, there would be no discovery. Anyways, what's the FUN in knowing everything!
